Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 13 August 2026

We'd rather tell you exactly where we are than publish numbers we haven't actually committed to yet. Here's the honest, current state.

Where we are right now

Dunes to Delta doesn't yet process online payments. Every booking is confirmed directly with a real member of our team, by email or phone, before any payment changes hands — nothing is charged automatically through this site.

How cancellation terms are set today

Because payment is arranged directly rather than through an automated checkout, the specific cancellation and refund terms for your trip — deposit amount, refund windows, any non-refundable costs — are agreed with you in writing at the time your booking is confirmed. If you already have a booking in progress, those written terms are what apply, not this page.

The principle we work to

In line with normal safari-industry practice: the more notice you can give us, the more flexibility we can offer. Lodges, guides and vehicles are reserved on your behalf well ahead of your trip, so cancellations close to your travel dates are harder for us to recover than early ones — we'll always explain exactly why, case by case, rather than hide behind a fixed table.

What's changing

We're building toward real online booking and payment. Once that's live, this page will be replaced with a formal, published cancellation and refund schedule — we won't leave it this open-ended once there's an automated payment to match it against.
