Dunes to Delta ("we", "us") operates dunestodelta.com and plans tailor-made safaris across Namibia, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This page explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use this site or submit a trip enquiry, and what we do with it.
When you submit the Plan My Trip form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, preferred travel dates, budget range, and any trip details or preferences you tell us. We don't currently collect payment card details anywhere on this site.
We use this information to respond to your enquiry with a relevant, personalized quote, and to follow up if we haven't heard back from you. We don't use your details for anything beyond planning and delivering your trip.
To reply quickly, the details from your enquiry are processed by Anthropic's Claude API to help draft a fast, personalized first reply referencing your actual route, dates and budget. This is a drafting aid, not a decision-maker — every real conversation, and every confirmed booking, involves our actual team.
Enquiry details are stored in a Google Sheet and handled through Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Apps Script) under our own dunestodelta@gmail.com account, and processed by the Anthropic Claude API as described above. We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or unrelated third parties. We may share necessary trip details (such as your name and dates) with the specific lodges, guides or transport operators involved in fulfilling a confirmed booking.
This site does not currently run analytics or advertising tracking cookies. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
We keep enquiry records for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and, if you book with us, to deliver and support your trip. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Your rights" below.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing dunestodelta@gmail.com. We're a small, real team — you'll get a direct reply, not a support ticket number.
This site is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16 without a parent or guardian involved in the enquiry or booking.
Our guide team is based in Namibia and Botswana, and we welcome enquiries from anywhere in the world. By contacting us, you understand that your information will be processed in Namibia and via the service providers listed above (Google and Anthropic), which may be based outside your own country.
If we make a material change to how we handle your data, we'll update the date at the top of this page and describe the change here.
