Depart Windhoek into the Kalahari Desert, on to Fish River Canyon — the second-largest canyon system in the world — then the coastal town of Lüderitz, with a stop at the abandoned diamond-mining ghost town of Kolmanskop.
Sossusvlei, Namib-Naukluft & Swakopmund
Into the dune sea at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei, then west across the Namib-Naukluft Park to the Atlantic coast at Swakopmund.
